Hungarian Homemade Noodles and Cabbage

5 slices bacon (thick slices), diced
6 c. cabbage, chopped
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. sugar
Noodles
Paprika
1 (14oz) bag Hungarian Homemade Fettuccine

Instructions:
  1. In large skillet cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove from skillet.
  3. Drain, reserving the drippings.
  4. Crumble bacon.
  5. Stir sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in bacon drippings. Add cabbage.
  6. Stir until cabbage is coated, cover and cook over medium heat until cabbage is tender.
  7. Combine cabbage mixture, cooked noodles (Follow directions on back of bag) and bacon, turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  8. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
  9. Uncover, spoon sour cream over the top.
  10. Return to oven and bake 5 minutes more.
